Nicolae Bucur — silver at Euro Mini Champ’s 2026
From 28 to 30 August 2026, in Strasbourg, France, Euro Mini Champ’s 2026 was held, one of the most important European competitions for young players.
The Republic of Moldova's representative, Nicolae Bucur, played very well throughout, with consistent performances and matches of real intensity, and reached the final.
In the last act Nicolae met the Turkish player Bucak Akif Emre. In an extremely close and hard-fought final, Nicolae came very near to victory, losing 2–3 at the last.
Congratulations, Nicolae, on the determination, character and effort you put in across the whole competition. Head up, and every success from here — this medal is only the beginning.
