REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA VETERANS' CHAMPIONSHIP 2024, third edition
On 7 December 2024 the Republic of Moldova Veterans' Table Tennis Championship, 2024, third edition, was held for the third time. Seventy-four table tennis veterans took part, women and men.
The Republic of Moldova veterans' championship was held in the village of Avdarma (Gagauzia). The festive opening was attended by the head of the Youth and Sport Directorate of Gagauzia, Dragoi Viacheslav.
The table tennis veterans of the Republic of Moldova competed in seven men's categories — 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ — and one women's category, 40+.

The Republic of Moldova veterans' table tennis championship was held in a fine and friendly atmosphere. The closing matches were very interesting; in one match between two defensive players the “13-stroke rule” was even brought into play.
During the championship the athletes and coaches were given good food at breakfast and lunch at the expense of the Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova. The champions and medallists received cups, medals, diplomas and cash prizes.
The community of table tennis veterans of the Republic of Moldova expresses its gratitude to the federation's president, Mr Sarandi Ion, and its secretary general, Mrs Elena Mocrousov, and to the Main Umpires' Commission, represented by national-category umpires Mrs Natalia Smirnova and Mrs Elena Barbu, for running the 2024 Republic of Moldova Veterans' Championship to a high standard.
