Republic of Moldova Senior Championship 2024
On 23 – 24 March the Republic of Moldova senior table tennis championship, 2024 was held. It brought together the top 32 players (men and women) on the national ranking as at 01.03.2024.
The championship was held in the village of Avdarma (Gagauzia). The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Head of the Administration of the Bashkan of Gagauzia, Mr Petrov Victor, and the Head of Gagauzia's Youth and Sport Department, Mr Dragoi Veaceslav. Taking part in the opening were the gymnasts of the “Alexia” sports club in Comrat (coach Mrs Sarî Cristina) and Mr Vitalii Vasileoglo, soloist of the “Duzava” music and dance ensemble.
The athletes of the Republic of Moldova played in three events — singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
In the men's singles this year's champion was Puțuntică Andrei (Chisinau), winning 4:3 in a final against Ursu Vladislav (Chisinau). Andrei plays in Germany for Werder Bremen in the first division. Vladislav plays for Gwiazda Bydgoszcz in the Polish Super League. Cozmolici Felix (Chisinau) and Koșug Eugen (Chisinau) played for the bronze. With a 4:3 win Cozmolici Felix took his place in the top three at the Republic of Moldova Championship, 2024.
In the women's singles this year's champion was Camelia Merenco (Chisinau), winning 4:2 in a final against last year's champion Alexandra Chiriacova (Dubăsari). The bronze went to Bălți with Vieru Valeria, who played the third-place match against Ecaterina Sireac (Dubăsari).

3rd place – Bektaș Igor – Spivacenco Gabriel (Chisinau)
Mixed doubles
1st place —Ursu Vladislav (Chisinau) – Chiriacova Alexandra (Dubăsari)
2nd place – Puțuntică Andrei – Caraulinaia Vlada (Chisinau)
3rd place – Koșciug Eugen (Chisinau) – Vieru Valeria (Bălți)
The Republic of Moldova table tennis championship, 2024 was held in a fine and friendly atmosphere. The semi-finals and finals on 24 March were streamed online on the European Table Tennis Union's channel, ETTU.TV.
The Federation provided the athletes and coaches with a hotel and good lunches and dinners. The championship's winners and medallists received cups, medals, diplomas and prize money.
