🏓 International Table Tennis Tournament — In Memoriam CADUC Oleg & NOVITCHI Veniamin 🇲🇩 On 17 January the town of Briceni hosted a special sporting event — an international table tennis tournament held in memory of Oleg CADUC and Veniamin NOVITCHI, two figures who did a great deal to build and promote table tennis.
The competition brought together athletes from the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine, who produced some fine matches in an atmosphere of fair play, respect and friendship, confirming once again the part sport plays in bringing communities together.
At the prize-giving, Mr Oleg ȘARIC, president of the Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova, presented a diploma of gratitude to Mr Anatolie RUSU, in recognition of his valuable contribution to the development of table tennis in the region and his active part in strengthening the sporting community.
The Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova also brought some joy to the youngest athletes, giving sweets to the children of the table tennis section of the Briceni Sports School as a gesture of encouragement and support.
