Moldova's first championship for people with disabilities
With the help and support of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, Moldova's first championship for people with disabilities was held on 29 November. The event took place at the Top Cup Table Tennis Academy, and became a historic moment for adapted sport in our country.
The championship was opened by a representative of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, and supported by the president of the Federation of Sports for People with Locomotor Disabilities of the Republic of Moldova, by the Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova, by the founders of the Top Cup Academy, by the National Association of Professional Table Tennis Players of the Republic of Moldova — ATTP, and by all the big-hearted people who backed this initiative.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise an event so important and so necessary. Thanks to you, the competition became an example of solidarity, professionalism and respect for every athlete.
All the entrants showed an excellent level of play, but the most valuable thing was their fighting spirit. They showed that real victory comes from courage, perseverance and the wish to go forward, whatever the obstacles.
