The “President’s Cup” international table tennis tournament — Drochia 2026
On 20 June 2026, in the town of Drochia, the “President's Cup” international table tennis tournament was successfully held, bringing together about 80 players from the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Romania.
The event gave those taking part the chance to show their skill, to gather valuable competitive experience and to strengthen the ties of friendship between players from the three countries.
At the organisers' invitation, Mr Oleg Șaric, president of the Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova, attended the prize-giving and congratulated the participants and organisers on their contribution to the development and promotion of table tennis.
The Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova welcomes and supports the initiative of holding international competitions of this kind, which help develop the sport and strengthen cooperation between the region's sporting communities.
We extend our sincere thanks to the organisers for their involvement, dedication and the smooth running of the tournament. Particular thanks to Mr Vasile Cemortan, president of the Drochia district, for his support and active involvement in organising the competition.
