An international table tennis tournament brought the spirit of the city holiday to Bălți
In the fine atmosphere of the celebrations for the Bălți city holiday, an international table tennis tournament was held, with players from the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria and Ukraine taking part.
Distinguished guests attended the opening ceremony: representatives of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Moldova, led by Her Excellency the Ambassador Dong Zhihua; the mayor of Bălți, Mr Alexandr Petkov; and the president of the Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova, Mr Oleg Șaric.
The competition brought together more than 100 children and young players, who competed with great passion and determination in 5 age categories. For two days the hall was full of emotion, energy, fair play and a spirit of international friendship.
For Bălți this tournament was not just a sporting competition but a genuine celebration of sport, of childhood and of friendship between peoples.
The Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova thanks all the participants, coaches, partners and guests for their contribution to the success of this special event.
